Bio: Through the creative vision of Lucasfilm Ltd. and the Cartoon Network, the Clone Wars are brought to life in an exciting new series of short animated chapters. A unique animation style captures the drama of this epic period in galactic history along with its outstanding heroes and adversaries. Noble Jedi warriors lead Clone Troopers into battle against the evil Separatist forces and their droid armies. Anakin, Obi-Wan, Yoda and their comrades struggle against the rising power of the dark side and confront personal challenges against a backdrop of war-torn planets. (Yes, this press release was taken from the figure's packaging.)

Commentary: For whatever reason the final 3-packs in the original Clone Wars line were impossible to find while I was living in Los Angeles, so I didn't get Clone Commander Cody until several years later on a chance trip to a comic shop in Tempe, AZ while hitting up the Chuckbox for lunch. (More name dropping is indeed possible.)
Cody is basically a remolded Clone Trooper from earlier in the line, with the notable addition of a backpack and, obviously, a new helmet with deco to match. He is very limited in his movement, with shoulders and a neck joint, so he's basically just a really cool maquette for the asking price. If you like how he looks in the photo, get him, as he won't be doing much else. He does not require a display stand, but one is included if you're so inclined. They're nice stands, too. Heck, this whole line looks gorgeous, and if it weren't for the fact they totally left out Padme, C-3PO, and R2-D2, I'd probably call it one of the best sub-lines of all time.
Collector's Notes: Despite a local, loving fanbase this style of action figure is pretty worthless. I got mine at a comic shop for like $12 in a sealed set-- $3 less than retail! I was so proud. And then I saw it on eBay for about $4.
